The Ninilchik Tribe traces its roots back to the first Native communities located around the Cook Inlet and surrounding area. Tribal boundaries extend from South of the Kasilof River to Homer and East from the Caribou Hills across the Cook Inlet to Mt. Redoubt.

NO EXCUSES!
Thanks to funding provided by a Diabetes Prevention Grant, and a collaborative agreement with the Kenai Peninsula State Fair, Ninilchik Traditional Council is able to provide the opportunity to improve the health of community members, and its free. The Ninilchik Health and Wellness Club is located in the Chinook Bay building at the fairgrounds and is available to the whole community, native and non-native alike. The Facility is primarily for adult use, although youth ages 12-15 are welcome to work out with a parent or guardian. 16-18 year olds need a waiver signed by a parent or guardian. Please have clean athletic footwear and no loose clothing that can be caught in the machines.
Hours are 7:00AM - 6:00 PM Monday-Friday


We are fortunate to have state of the art equipment with a fully equipped cardio room, weight room, as well as a room for yoga and other classes.
We also offer Wellness Presentations and fun challenges to keep us motivated toward a healthier lifestyle. Join us!

Yoga and more!
Join Char for a yoga based class which includes some Pilates core work. Yoga is a complete range of moves, standing,sitting,inverted and relaxation. All levels are welcome, as yoga allows each person to modify according to their needs. Yoga, Monday, Wednesday, and Friday 11:00 am and Tuesday/Thursday at 9:30AM at the Health Club. (skinny is not a requirement)

Ken Wake is offering his services as: Personal excersise coach, Aerobic kickboxing & toning class, Cardio and conditioning class, core training class, Mixed martial arts Monday/Wednesday/Friday @8:30AM

Strong Women-Strong Bones
is a nationally recognized program that teaches beginning weight training. Weight bearing exercises prevent osteoporosis. This is a personalized program for women of any age. The instructor, Chris, will help you with your form and level of intensity to give you the most benefit. Please call to sign up. Class times are Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 8:30 AM

Pilates Monday/Wednesday/Friday 8:00am

Mondays at 9:00am "BellyDance", Belly dance is a popular dance form for all body types and for all ages. Trim and tone your body with graceful movements and isolated motions. Strengthen your stomach and back muscles while improving flexibility, stamina and self-esteem. Leave energized and with a better self-image. Wear comfortable clothing and bring a hip scarf if you have one. The instructor will provide hip scarf/CD kits for $25.

Wednesdays at 9:00 AM "Sambaerobics" Sambaerobics is a high intensity fun aerobics class that incorporates Latin dance music and dance steps. This class is not a technique class but an opportunity to get the heart pumping while shimmying and shaking the pounds away to great music. The cost for each 6 week class is $50
