The Ninilchik Traditional Council provides health services in the “Ninilchik, Anchor Point, and Homer area” and is also a source of assistance and referrals to other medical facilities in Alaska. Health and well being are important tribal values and NTC encourages all people to improve or maintain their health of both body and mind. The principles of health and good medicine provide a strong foundation for personal achievements, community success, and cultural enrichment.

About Our Behavioral Health Program

The Ninilchik Traditional Council Behavioral Health Program’s mission is to provide the highest quality of care in meeting the client’s self-determined goals for treatment, by providing integrated mental health and substance abuse treatment in a supportive, compassionate, culturally competent, and strengths-focused treatment setting.

We are a State of Alaska certified Alcohol Safety Action Program (ASAP) provider and offer ASAP assessments and outpatient treatment. NTC Behavioral Health is nationally accredited with the Commission of Accreditation for Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF).

Services

NTC’s licensed Behavioral Health Clinician provides assessments, outpatient counseling for adults, children, couples, families and groups., and also provides education, community outreach prevention and intervention, and referrals to other services.

NTC Behavioral Health is certified ASAP court referrals and we welcome appointments to be made for this service.

  • NTC Behavioral Health is open to everyone.
Financial

NTC Behavioral Health accepts Medicaid and a variety of commercial insurances.
*Sliding Fee Scale Discount is available to eligible recipients.

Alcohol & Substance Abuse Services

Alcohol and substance abuse treatment services are provided to individuals with chemical dependency problems. Services are also provided to address codependency, ‘Adult Children of Alcoholics’ issues, and family dynamics to individuals and families who have been impacted by a loved one’s substance abuse.

Mental & Emotional Health Services

If you are having difficulty coping with stress, life’s problems, or are experiencing a sense of unhappiness, seeing a behavioral health clinician can help. The Behavioral Health Clinician will work collaboratively with you to help you find a balance in your life using a cognitive behavior and strengths-based approach while providing a safe, welcoming, and confidential environment for you to work on your self-identified goals for treatment.

Patient Grievance Procedure

NTC Community Clinic Behavioral Health provides a Patient Grievance Procedure for patients and clients to express complaints, resolve disputes, or bring attention to incidents, conditions, practices and/or policies of NTCCC/BHS that may violate patient/client rights.

Here you can find the Patient Grievance Procedure along with the Patient Grievance Form that can be downloaded and submitted to the NTC Behavioral Health Department.
